Hi, I’m DJ Webbles!

I do a show called “Hangover Sessions” every Sunday 10am – 12:00pm.

I’ve been with the station since 2013. A friend of a friend, who I was playing disc golf with @ Golden Gate Park one time (Dave Slaverade – former KUSF in Exile DJ) told me about the station, I had an idea for a show and an English accent and the rest, as they say, is history!

I always adored listening to radio, especially BBC radio, growing up with John Peel, Chris Evans and the like.

My favourite radio programs today (apart from KXSF programs ofc;) are Desert Island Discs, which broadcasts weekly on BBC Radio 4. This show also inspired the premise for my KXSF radio show! Additionally, I love Guy Garvey’s Finest Hour and Gilles’s Peterson’s shows, which broadcast on BBC 6 Music every weekend.

I like all kinds of music, the world over and I consider myself a global citizen and believe that music crosses borders in every corner of the earth.

I love Laura Marling, her new musical project LUMP is worth checking out – then work your way through her back catalogue. My favorite album of hers is “Once I Was An Eagle”.

I work on the Web + Promo Team @ KXSF and am responsible for the chosen theme of the new website (let me know if you have any constructive criticism!!).

In “real” life I’m a proud new papa to a baby girl Zoe (born Feb 16th 2018). I am a singer/songwriter/guitarist, I love soccer (FOOTBALL), snowboarding, going for a jog around Lake Merritt, watching live shows and cooking Sunday roast dinners for family & friends, whilst listening to episodes of Desert Island Discs! I won’t bore you with my day job routine but I have one of those too!

Some of the best, more recent hows I’ve seen are Jamiroquai, LCD Soundsystem, Laura Marling & Alabama Shakes. I’ve been lucky enough to also witness Prince live at the Oracle Arena and my first ever gig experience just so happened to be the monumental Oasis shows at Knebworth in 1996!

Any community inspiring words for everyone?
