Hey, I’m Sam – aka DJ Sammy P

I host Pasco’s Perspective every Wednesday 2-4pm PDT.

I’m currently a Junior at San Francisco University High School here in the city and I’ve always enjoyed radio. I was born and raised in San Francisco, and as I’ve grown up I’ve learned just what a great opportunity we have in this city by the Bay.

I joined KXSF about 6 months ago after I was a guest on ChoochCast (Monday’s 10-12 am with Chad). Chad mentioned that the station was looking for new volunteers and I thought it would be a good chance for me to get involved with a local, grassroots organization in the city. From there, I started volunteering with the Music department reviewing music and the Blog department writing articles (you’ll see some of my articles under the “Blog” heading on kxsf.fm).

With Pasco’s Perspective, I aim to inform and entertain, all while playing some good songs as well! My goal is not only to report the news, but to also bring in some of my personality and perspective (that’s the name of the show!) on the topics which I find interesting and noteworthy. I normally prepare for a show by reading news sites (both local and national), browsing social media and searching Youtube/the web for any interesting audio clips which I can play on the show. I have some big goals in mind for the show and its growth coming up. In addition, I’m always open to feedback and notes on the show as well.

Personally, I enjoy playing baseball, watching TV and hanging out with friends. I’m both a Giants and A’s fan, and my favorite player is Josh Donaldson. I’m a big Taylor Swift fan and enjoy popular music as well as indie. My favorite food is a chicken pot pie and my favorite drink is orange juice.

And be sure to tune in Wednesdays at 2pm on 102.5 FM for Pasco’s Perspective!
